A man facing 12 charges for a North Battleford break-in and high speed chase will be back in court on Tuesday.

Tyler Dane Meetoos appeared in North Battleford Provincial Court this morning with a swollen face and black eye.

Meetoos was arrested Wednesday night after a police chase.

The 22-year-old is accused of breaking into a North Battleford home and stealing a laptop, debit card, cellphone and other items.

He is also accused of assaulting the resident with a belt, confining him, and threatening him with scissors.

Meetoos is also alleged to have stolen the resident’s car and led police on a high-speed chase.

His charges include choking the resident and driving while disqualified.
