Saskatchewan residents are voting in civic elections today.

In northern Saskatchewan, one of the youngest mayors in Canada, Thomas Sierzycki, is being challenged in La Ronge by Ron Warner.

In the village of Air Ronge, long-time mayor Gordon Stomp is up against lone challenger Greg Merriman.

The election for mayor in Ile-a-la-Crosse is also a two-person race.

Voters are choosing between incumbent Duane Favel and challenger Vye Bouvier.

Four candidates are running for mayor in each of Beauval, Green Lake and Sandy Bay — including the incumbents.

It’s a five-person race in Cumberland House, while the mayoral votes in Beauval and Stony Rapids have drawn three candidates each.  The incumbents are seeking re-election in each of those elections, as well.

Polls in most communities across the province close at 8:00 p.m.
