A Pelican Lake First Nation man has been committed to stand trial for manslaughter.
Thirty-nine-year-old Frederick Charles Harris is charged with manslaughter in the death of 46-year-old Jones Thomas.
Thomas was also from the Pelican Lake First Nation.
His body was found October 1st, 2011 in the Chitek Lake Hotel.
A preliminary hearing was held on the matter this week, and it found there was enough evidence to send the case to trial.
The trial will be held in Battleford Court of Queen’s Bench.
Harris has chosen to be tried by judge and jury.
A date for that trial has not yet been set.
