A long-time northern Saskatchewan lawyer has been appointed to the bench in La Ronge.
Saskatchewan Justice has named Bob Lane as its new judge in the community.
Lane replaces Judge Felicia Daunt, who is transferring to Prince Albert.
For 33 years, Lane has worked on criminal cases in central and northern Saskatchewan, along with cases involving family and municipal law.
He served as a defence lawyer for many years before becoming a senior Crown prosecutor in 2004.
