The province is giving the RCMP, 15 thousand dollars, to help cover overtime as Mounties crack down on Orange Zone speeders.

After that comes heftier fines.

He says drivers need to get the message to slow down.

The move follows a horrible tragedy near Midale in August.

An 18 year old woman was working as a flag person when she was struck and killed by an SUV.

Her fiancé, who was also a highway worker, witnessed her death.

Accident reconstruction experts are still completing their investigation into the tragedy.

Once the report is done it will go to prosecutors who will decide what charges will be laid.
