The FSIN has signed a three-year protocol with the RCMP.

The deal is designed to boost trust and cooperation between First Nations communities and the RCMP members that serve them.

The federation says it hopes the protocol defuses situations before they turn into incidents or formal complaints.

RCMP Commissioner Russ Mirasty was at the FSIN’s legislative assembly in Nipawin yesterday to sign the agreement in person.
