Saskatoon police chief Clive Weighill is the main guest at tomorrow’s assembly of the Aboriginal Affairs Coalition of Saskatchewan.

The group wants to talk about the issue of racial profiling and has invited the chief in for feedback.

Kim Beaudin is the president of the coalition.

Beaudin says his group has heard stories of people who have fallen under the attention of police because of their ethnicity, and he wants that to change.

He says they want to ensure that the chief will be given the opportunity to hear first-hand stories of people who have been racially profiled.

Beaudin says racial profiling can include something as simple as being stopped by police, questioned and then asked to produce identification.
