A precautionary drinking water advisory remains in effect for the community of Wollaston Lake.

Saskatchewan Environment’s Andy Busse explains the advisory will be lifted once they get some tests back:

“The advisory was issued again only to the northern settlement’s distribution system because we have not had a routine bacteriological sample submitted to a lab for analysis so we are unable to verify that the water is bacteriologically safe.”

The advisory went into effect on Friday.

Busse is hopeful they’ll have some results by the end of the week.
