RCMP are on the lookout for a driver who was involved in a hit and run north of Prince Albert overnight.

A man was struck by a vehicle between 2:00 and 3:00 this morning.

The collision occurred a few kilometres north of town, near the fire control centre, in the northbound lane of Highway 2.

The victim was taken to hospital with serious leg injuries.

Parkland Ambulance reports the man is currently in hospital in stable condition.

RCMP say they believe the vehicle involved in the incident is a 2002 Chevy Cavalier that is dark blue in colour and may have sustained damage.
