The Federation of Saskatchewan Indian Nations is holding a special assembly on gaming this week in Prince Albert.

Topics up for discussion include amendments to the Indian Gaming Act, the gaming framework agreement, the transitional plan and the casino operating agreement.

FSIN interim chief Morley Watson says the future looks bright for gaming and SIGA is projecting more growth.

According to Watson, gaming has contributed $40 million annually to the First Nations Trust and $16 million more to First Nations communities.

The chiefs then closed the assembly to the media so they could talk internally.

The assembly runs until tomorrow.
