A wildfire crossed the highway between La Ronge and Prince Albert yesterday.
The four-hectare blaze was first reported late yesterday afternoon — and forced Highways officials to briefly shut down Highway 2 a few kilometres south of the McLennan River early in the evening.
Brent Krayetski says investigators are looking into the cause of the fire, but he notes there was no lightning in the area.
Krayetski says, at last word, the blaze was still not completely contained.
