More housing is now in place in Saskatoon for Aboriginal students and people in low income jobs.

A housing project featuring 27 suites was officially opened in the city today.

The project was made possible by the Saskatoon Tribal Council, in conjunction with the city and province.

The total cost of the project was $3.1 million.

The provincial government provided about $2.6 million toward that cost, through the Saskatchewan Housing Corporation.

The tribal council made the housing complex a reality.

The city provided a five-year tax break and a $300,000 grant.
