A 21-year-old man from Black Lake is making a court appearance in Saskatoon today following an assault in the city early this morning.
At around 2:00 a.m., police were called to a report of a violent domestic dispute at a hotel in the 3300 block of Fairlight Drive.
Witnesses reported hearing fighting and saw a female being physically assaulted.
Officers arrived to find a 20-year-old woman suffering from non life-threatening injuries.
The suspect attempted to flee from police, but was quickly taken into custody.
The man is facing a charge of assault causing bodily harm and two counts of breach of an undertaking.
