Saskatoon Police say the death of a man whose body was found following a dumpster fire is being treated as a homicide.

The body of 22-year-old Mervin Clarence McAdam was found early Sunday morning in the 200 block of Avenue S South.

An autopsy was done on Monday, but so far, the cause of death has not been released.

The Saskatoon Police Service’s Major Crime and Forensic Identification sections continue the investigation.

Police say two people brought in for questioning have been released, but they remain persons of interest in the case.

Anyone with information on the death is asked to contact Saskatoon Police or Crime Stoppers.
