The First Nations University of Canada has a new vice-president of finance and administration.

Juliano Tupone is originally from the Sweetgrass First Nation.

Before taking on this new position, Tupone was director of operations for the Starblanket Cree Nation.

He has also worked for Aboriginal Affairs as a senior funding services officer.

Tupone is also a graduate of the Saskatchewan Indian Federated College, the forerunner of the First Nations University.

He graduated from there in the 1990s.
