Metis residents will be allowed to self-declare their status during this spring’s Metis Nation – Saskatchewan vote.
The MN-S is holding its general election on May 30th.
Ron Lemabe is the speaker for the MN-S Legislative Assembly.
Lemabe says the process will be similar to the one used in the last election in 2007, when people could register at the polls.
He adds work has been done on the MN-S registry, but it’s not yet complete.
