The closure of the CBC bureau in La Ronge is not going over well with the chief in the community.
Tammy Cook-Searson of the Lac La Ronge Indian Band says she recently met with the acting manager of the Saskatchewan radio network, and she told him it was a mistake.
The chief notes news coverage is never the same when it comes without reporters who are actually in the north.
She adds she intends to write a letter to the network, as well.
