A 32-year-old man from Deschambault Lake has been airlifted to Saskatoon with a serious stab wound to one of his legs.

RCMP say an altercation at a home in the community was reported around 2:00 this morning.

The victim was taken to the local clinic and the Flin Flon Hospital before being airlifted to Royal University Hospital.

Police say a 30-year-old man from Deschambault Lake has been arrested and is being held in custody.

No charges have been specified, although the Mounties are calling it an aggravated assault.

RCMP major crimes investigators and forensics specialists from Saskatoon and Prince Albert are helping with the probe.
