About three dozen people took part in an Aboriginal business forum in Prince Albert yesterday.
The event was aimed at jumpstarting discussions and business opportunities between local business and the Aboriginal business sector.
Gene Kimbley is the CEO of Primrose Resources Corporation, a business arm of the northwest Metis communities of Jans Bay, Cole Bay, Beauval and Ile-a-la-Crosse.
Kimbley says it’s refreshing to be able to actually sit down and talk with business owners, rather than searching online or having to go through the phone book.
He adds his group is actively looking for business partners but already has some projects in early development.
