RCMP in Ile-a-la-Crosse say reports of a man with a gun entering a populated community centre appear to be false.
Yesterday, Mounties received word that someone with a concealed firearm had apparently entered the building housing St. Joseph’s hospital, Rossignol High School and the adult learning centre.
RCMP officers from Ile-a-la-Crosse and Buffalo Narrows advised the school to go into a lockdown until the matter could be investigated.
However, they now say the complaint was a false alarm and the individual in question never did have a firearm on them.
