Suspect In Fatal Bar Fight Facing Upgraded Charge

A 22-year-old man charged with aggravated assault in the death of a Saskatoon woman is now facing a more serious charge of manslaughter.

Saskatoon police note the suspect, Jordan Aaron Smith, is already in custody following the June 5th death of Leticia Fleury.

The 25-year-old mother of two died of a stab wound after a fight broke out in the 3300 block of Fairlight Drive.

Two other suspects have also been charged with assault in connection with the brawl, which also injured two men from Kamsack.

Smith is scheduled to appear in Saskatoon Provincial Court tomorrow.
