One of the first people to see a missing Deschambault Lake man says she was shocked when he walked through the door of her lodge.

Margaret Descalchuk was working at Bloomfield’s when Albert Custer was dropped off by a motorist who had found him sitting on the side of the road.

Descalchuk says Custer didn’t say anything except to ask if he could use the phone and call the RCMP.

She says he was in kind of rough shape and was thirsty and hungry.

She says he was doing much better when he showed up last night at the lodge again with some friends to celebrate being found.

Custer went missing for three days last week while he was mushroom picking with his family and was the subject of an RCMP and civilian search.
