Poundmaker Fraud Suspects Back In Court in Sept

Nine Poundmaker First Nation residents charged with TLE fraud are due back in court September 6th.
The suspects include Chief Duane Antoine as well as two current councillors and the past chief and some past councillors.
Lawyers for the accused appeared in Cut Knife Provincial Court today.
RCMP have been working on the case since June 2004.
That’s when a band member provided allegations of TLE fraud and misspent band money to Cut Knife RCMP.
