The NDP have named their candidate for a provincial riding north of Prince Albert.
Jeanette Wicinski-Dunn was officially named as the candidate for the Saskatchewan Rivers riding after a meeting in Big River last night.
A local business-owner, Wicinski-Dunn, ran uncontested in the campaign.
She says there are a number of issues affecting local constituents.
One of the biggest is the closure of the sawmill in Big River.
In addition to that, Wicinski-Dunn says the loss of health services to her community and Spiritwood are trends that must be reversed.
