Drugs Charges Laid at Thunderchild

Three Thunderchild First Nation residents face drug trafficking charges after being arrested Wednesday on the reserve.

Twenty-nine-year-old Robert Colin Brown, 39-year-old Sandra Gail Wapass, and 20-year-old Kristian Annie Wapass face four charges: trafficking in arihuana, possession of marihuana for the purpose of trafficking, production of marihuana and possession of proceeds of crime.

They’re due in St. Walburg Provincial Court October 4th.

RCMP say the bust was part of an investigation to prevent drug trafficking during the FSIN Summer Games.
