Once again, Saskatchewan uranium giant Cameco Corporation has been recognized as a top employer.
The company has been named one of Canada’s top 100 employers and one of the 10 Best Companie to Work for in Canada by the Financial Post.
Cameco vice-President of Human Resources Kaylynn Schroeder says these accolades help the company attract people to fill harder to fill positions or positions where there is a lot of demand across the mining sector.
After winning last year, Schroeder says Cameco saw a 22 per cent increase in visits to its career page and a 35 per cent increase in the number of resumes received.
She says part of that is because there is a search engine attached to the top 100 and top 10 companies that redirect to the company’s web site.
