Black Lake Man Faces First Degree Murder Charge

A 26-year-old Black Lake man has been charged with first degree murder.

Allister Moise Donard is the RCMP’s suspect in the death of 21-year-old Black Lake resident Joey John Yooya.

Yooya’s body was found with a gunshot wound in the woods just east of the community on July 7th.

He had gone missing two days earlier, and was the subject of a search.

Donard will be making his first court appearance next Wednesday in Stony Rapids.
