A trial date has been set for a man accused of murdering an Onion Lake Cree Nation woman.

Douglas Hales was charged in the summer of 2008 with the first-degree murder of Daleen Bosse, who disappeared from Saskatoon in 2004.

At the time, she was attending the University of Saskatchewan to become a teacher.

Hales is also charged with offering an indignity to human remains for allegedly setting Bosse’s body on fire.

The trial is set to run for one month from the end of October to the end of November in Court of Queen’s Bench in Saskatoon.
