Vandals Desecrate Grave Of Dead Foster Child

There is more heartache for a Saskatchewan father already mourning the loss of his son.

Chris Martell says vandals damaged the grave of his son, Evander Daniels, at the Sturgeon Lake cemetery over the weekend.

The 22-month-old boy drowned in a foster home earlier this year.

Martell says he can’t believe someone could do such a thing, and doesn’t know why it was done.

According to Martell, a picture was damaged and the gravestone was toppled over.

He says the family has cleaned up the damage to the gravestone, but haven’t contacted the RCMP.

However, he says family members will be checking the site frequently to make sure it doesn’t happen again.
