Cameco has won a prestigious honour.

For the second year in a row, the uranium giant has been named one of Canada’s top 100 employers.

Now entering its 12th year, the competition recognizes top workplaces across the country.

Some of the criteria used to grade companies includes work atmosphere, health benefits and time off.

Kaylynn Schroeder is the vice-president of human resources for Cameco.

She says the company strives for diversity in the north and it has paid off.

She adds the company is one of Canada’s largest industrial aboriginal employers.
