Woman Charged After Sucker River Hatchet Attack

A 29-year-old woman is facing a charge of aggravated assault after allegedly striking another woman with a small hatchet in Sucker River.

 

The RCMP say the incident took place in a residence in the northern Saskatchewan community at around 5:30 yesterday afternoon.

 

The 41-year-old victim’s injuries are said to be non-life-threatening.

 

The suspect has been identified as Jennifer Walker.

 

She made her first court appearance today in La Ronge.
