Warrant Out For Suspect In La Ronge Rape

An arrest warrant has been issued for a La Ronge man facing serious charges.

Mathew Sandy Allan Charles, known locally as “Chew”, didn’t show up for his court appearance yesterday in the community.

He was arrested after a man with a bladed weapon broke into a residence on November 18th and attacked and raped a woman.

Charles was scheduled to be sentenced on charges of assault and criminal harrassment.

The warrant was issued when he failed to show.

In additon to those charges, Charles is also facing a charge of sexual assault and overcoming resistance to commit an indictable offence.
