The popular animated children’s television series “Wapos Bay” has five more Gemini nominations.

That makes a total of 14 nominations for the Saskatchewan-produced show, which is entering its final season.

The five nominations this year are the most “Wapos Bay” has ever received for one season.

It has been nominated for best animated series, in addition to nominations in one performance and three craft categories.

Producer Dennis Jackson says the show has become popular with adults, too — probably because of its humour and how it deals with issues of interest for the whole family.

The Geminis will be handed out November 2nd and 3rd in Toronto.

Season Five of Wapos Bay premieres October 6th on the Aboriginal Peoples Television Network.
