Hundreds of school children gathered at Wanuskewin Heritage Park for a ceremony marking the arrival of the Olympic flame.

Federation of Saskatchewan Indian Nations Vice-chief Morley Watson says it’s fitting that the flame, a sign of international competition, was at a meeting place like Wanuskewin.

Watson encouraged the young people in attendance to set lofty goals.

The Olympic torch made its way into Prince Albert last night and heads to the Battlefords area today, including stops at the Saulteaux and Moosomin First Nations.
