Norris Urged To Sign Letter Backing FNUC

A letter to Indian Affairs Minister Chuck Strahl was presented to the Regina media at the Legislature yesterday.
But the man who brought it forwards says it needs to be signed by Advanced Education Minister Rob Norris.
Randy Lundy, the Academic Chair of the First Nations University of Canada, says Norris has never publicly stated he wants the federal government to return the $7.2 million to the FNUC.
Lundy says that if Norris is truly advocating on the school’s behalf, he just needs to sign the letter.
Norris was not available for comment.
Lundy will be travelling to Ottawa for a hearing hosted by the House of Commons Standing Committee on Aboriginal and Northern Affairs.
Meanwhile, FNUC students are planning a rally for early next week.
