NDP MLA Calls For Paving Of Northern Highway

Cumberland MLA Doyle Vermette says it is time to pave Highway 102 from La Ronge to Southend.

Vermette says the state of the highway has become a safety issue and causes concerns for ambulances who use the route.

He says the government is receiving financial benefits from the province’s north, and it should fix some of the roads from which they are generating wealth.

Vermette raised the issue yesterday in the Legislature.
