RCMP are asking for the public’s help in finding two men who allegedly carried out an apparent carjacking.

The force alleges that on Thursday afternoon in Lloydminster, a motorist picked up two male hitchhikers who were on their way to Onion Lake.

On the way, one of the men pulled out a knife and began stabbing the driver repeatedly.

The driver, who the RCMP say is known to them, jumped out of the vehicle and flagged down another vehicle which took him to hospital.

He survived the incident.

The vehicle, a 1995 green GMC truck, was last seen heading north on Hwy. 17.

Its licence plate number is 328 HBM.

Anyone knowing anything about the incident is asked to call Crime Stoppers or the RCMP’s Maidstone detachment.
