A Saskatoon lawyer is being investigated by a hearing committee appointed by the Law Society of Saskatchewan for conduct unbecoming of a lawyer for allegedly misappropriating funds from a First Nation.
Albert Angus is accused of misappropriating funds from the Mosquito-Grizzly Bear’s Head-Lean Man First Nation’s TLE Trust.
A complaint dated in September 2008 says Angus prepared a false account which contains entries for which he had already been paid.
The document also says Angus transferred $8,000 from the First Nation to Kelly Bird.
