RCMP say a store clerk was assaulted during a robbery early this morning in La Ronge.

Three suspects, who are described as Aboriginal men in their 20s, entered a local business shortly after midnight — and after attacking the clerk, made off with an undisclosed amount of alcohol.

The clerk’s injuries are not life-threatening.

One of the suspects is described as being tall and “chubby”, with a “baby face”, short hair and the beginnings of a moustache. He was wearing a silver winter coat, a ball cap and dark pants.

The second suspect — the shortest of the three — has long hair, a thin moustache, an average build and “a rough appearance”. He was wearing a red and black coat, dark pants, dark gloves and a toque.

The third suspect — the tallest of the three — is said to have a “scruffy” goatee, a moustache, thin facial hair, a long face and a long nose. He was wearing a black coat and black sweat pants.

Anyone with information on their identities or whereabouts is asked to contact Saskatchewan Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
