FNUC Students Disappointed By Board’s Response

First Nations University of Canada students’ association vice-president Cadmus Delorme and a number of other students sat down with FNUC leadership this afternoon, to talk about allegations of financial irregularities at the school.
The institution is being sued by its former financial officer, who has alleged misspending by top brass at the institution.
Delorme says he had expected the president and vice-president of the school to address those allegations.
But instead, the talk came from the chairman of FNUC’s board of directors, Clarence Bellegarde.
Delorme says Bellegarde was late to the meeting and read mainly from a piece of paper.
He adds that Bellegarde didn’t touch on the big issues either, merely telling students to trust their chiefs and “stick together as a nation”.
Delorme says he has talked to some staff members about the situation, and says they’re worried too.
