Canada’s Food Guide can now be found in four Aboriginal languages.

Health Canada has translated the First Nations, Inuit and Metis edition of the guide released in 2007 into Inuktitut, Ojibwe, Plains Cree and Woods Cree in order to reach people who may not have been able to access it in the past.

Health Canada nutrition advisor Brenda MacIntyre says that more languages may be added in the future if these translations prove useful.

Woods Cree and Plains Cree versions of the food guide can be seen, downloaded, and ordered through the Health Canada website.
