The Vancouver Winter Olympics is hosting not only athletes, but Aboriginal artists, as well.

The Chief’s House is the Games’ Aboriginal pavilion, hosted by the Four Host Nations.

Performers include music icon Buffy Sainte-Marie and Eagle & Hawk.

The drumming group Whitefish Juniors from the Big River First Nation is representing Saskatchewan in Vancouver.

Bob Lachance says the group is looking forward to the experience.

“It’s a big honour for us to do be doing (this),” Lachance says.

Lachance says this event is one of the biggest the group will have played since they performed at the Junos in 2004.
