The organizer of this week’s Federation of Saskatchewan Indian Nations youth assembly in Yorkton says education will likely be the main subject discussed at the gathering.
The three-day event got underway this morning.
Shirley Rockthunder says a number of special guests and FSIN brass will be talking to approximately 80 youth about issues affecting themselves and their communities.
She says the whole purpose of the assembly is to give youth a glimpse into how decisions affecting their lives are actually made.
The assembly wraps up on Friday afternoon.
