There are reports that a woman originally from the Yellow Quill First Nation has died from the swine flu.

Vanessa Bluebell died last Thursday after being admitted to a Calgary hospital.

The 25-year-old mother of four reportedly had no history of health problems before contrating the H1N1 virus, which she may have contracted during a recent trip to Saskatchewan.

According to Alberta Health Services, she is the first person in that province with no pre-existing medical conditions to die from the virus.
