Scholars from around the world could soon be coming to Saskatchewan to work at an Indigenous college of health and science.

That’s the dream of FSIN Senator Sol Sanderson.

According to Sanderson, the college would study Indigenous health and science knowledge from around the globe.

Sanderson says he and several other Aboriginal people have been quietly working on the idea for five years — but he says it’s not yet an official FSIN policy or project.

One idea being floated is to locate the college at the First Nations University of Canada.

Sanderson says it would ideally be set up at about the same time a traditional Aboriginal health care system is created.
