Wollaston Lake Residents Lose Phone Service

SaskTel repair crews have been dispatched to the Hatchet Lake First Nation at Wollaston Lake.

Around 15 to 20 residents on the west side of the reserve have been without phone service since a house fire on May 6th.

The fire destroyed a power pole that had some SaskTel overhead cables on it.

SaskTel spokesperson Michelle Englot says crews have been forced to wait for a new power pole to be put into the ground — and that’s why there has been a delay.

She says SaskTel personnel are hoping to fix the situation in short order.
