Witnessing To Burning Incident Elude RCMP

The La Ronge RCMP are asking the public for assistance in identifying several people believed to have witnessed an incident Monday evening behind a local business that saw a 26-year-old local woman severely burned.

RCMP spokesman Sgt. Brian Jones says investigators have made progress in the case, but need the public’s help in identifying individuals who were at the scene of the incident between 8:00 and 9:00 that night.

He adds that because the woman remains in hospital receiving treatment, the Mounties have yet to question her.

Jones says foul play remains a possibility — but at this stage, he says investigators need more information to fill in all the missing pieces.
