First Nations communities across the country will soon be part of a new nation-wide pilot project with the Saskatchewan Communications Network.

In an announcement today, SCN will combine forces with OmniGlobe Networks and Naskapi Imuun Inc. to offer Canada’s first nation-wide satellite-cellular communications service to First Nations communities.

The satellite technology will connect entire communities with cellular and wireless broadband Internet services.

SCN partnered with OmniGlobe last year to offer similar services to rural and remote communities across Canada.
