Wild Rice Growers Gather in La Ronge

Wild rice growers from across the North are in La Ronge today for their annual conference.

Aside from getting production reports from both sides of the border, the growers will also hear about the Canadian Agricultural Income Stabilization Program.

The ongoing campaign to certify wild rice growers as organic producers will also be up for discussion.

As well, there will be a presentation on land use plans and wild rice and a panel discussion on the factors that affect the quality of wild rice.
