Weekend Traffic Accidents Claim Two Lives

It was a tragic weekend on the roads for some northerners.

A single-vehicle rollover has claimed the life of a northern

woman.

RCMP say on Sunday afternoon a buick lesabre overturned in the rural municipality of Glenside, killing 47 Irene Janvier of La loche.

Investigators say she was west-bound on a grid road when the vehicle slid sideways into a ditch and overturned.

An autopsy has been ordered.

Meantime a crash Saturday evening on highway 165 has

claimed the life of a Hall Lake resident.

Twenty-three year-old Jeffrey Jon Ratt of Hall Lake died after his vehicle rolled over 18 kilometres west of the highway #2 junction.

Ratt was the sole occupant at the time, and the matter is still under investigation.
